McGill Outdoors Frosh

Do you want to see the beauty of the outdoors but also take the time to smell the roses?  Come join us on Camping Frosh! Prepare yourself for a weekend with a perfect mix of chillaxing and adventure in Forêt Ouareau Regional Park – Secteur Grande-Jetée.  Planned activities include: Ice-breakers and games, 2 hikes for beginners-intermediate, swimming, and nightly campfires (weather permitting)!  If this is your first camping trip, or your 100th, any level of outdoor experience is welcome!

DAY ONE → Arrive by bus to Parc La Mauricie prepared to rock and roll and meet the best froshie group around. Have a scenic paddle through the park to the campsite and hang out with your group for the night. Have lots of fun games, good food and, most importantly, great vibes. 

DAY TWO → Wake up excited because today is going to be a day. Get ready for some serious team bonding and character building with a day full of portaging and paddling. Lunch will take place alongside some swim spots to enjoy some grub and swimming! We will then journey on a loop of fun and mystery. Sleep at and explore a new campsite and hang out after the awesomest day ever. 

DAY THREE → Paddle out (booooo) with some beach stops along the way! Ride the bus back with your new favorite people and amazing memories to start the year off right.

Do you yearn for the mountains? To feel the summer wind on your face? If so, join hiking frosh!! Come experience the beauty of Quebec nature over a weekend in La Mauricie National Park! We have three days of fun hikes planned, all levels welcome, with swimming, campfires, games, and overall good vibes sprinkled in between. Upon arrival on Friday, we have a short 4km with packs to do before setting up camp. We’ll end off the evening with a sweet treat and some games. On Saturday, we have 12km (big pack free!!) around a lake, ending with a swim before heading back to camp. Sweet treats and games once again. Finally, we’ll wake up bright and early on Sunday to hike 15km with our packs, enjoy one last dip in a lake and then head back to your new home, beautiful McGill.
