Camping Frosh

Are you new to the outdoors and want to try out camping? Or do you want to spend a chill and refreshing last weekend outside before the semester starts? Then come join the best option for a two-night camping trip! We’re base camping at the Lac Monroe campsites in Mont Tremblant Provincial Park with day trips of hiking, mystery activities (ooo!), swimming in a gorgeous lake, and more! This trip is McGill Outdoor Frosh’s largest group, so you’ll be able to spend time with tons of new friends, learn about Montreal from our 12 amazing frosh leaders, and get a first taste of McGill with an unforgettable first weekend!

Here’s our schedule:

Day 1, Aug 26 – at 7:40am, meet at the Sir Arthur Currie Memorial Gymnasium to board the bus! We’ll head to the campsites and go straight into our first hike, so make sure to bring a lunch with you for our first day. Then we’ll set up camp and have dinner (and manhunt and s’mores too!)

Day 2, Aug 27 – Another day, another day hike! Swimming in the afternoon and some fun at night!

Day 3, Aug 28 – After breakfast, we’ll have another mystery activity then head back to McGill after lunch! Estimated time back is 6pm.

The campsite will have proper washrooms and showers with running water, water pumps with drinking water, and clean campsites in a well-known area less than 2 hours from Montreal! If you’re looking for a comfortable and jam-packed fun camping experience, look no further than camping frosh!
